Many years ago, in an anthology paperback of non-fiction stories, I read of the deeds told in this Wiki posting.
I believe it MAY have been a book written by Paul Harvey... one of his "the rest of the story" books that mention a fact then tells of what led to that mentioned fact.
Got lucky. Arduous searching (Google, blessed be thine name) led to info. I DO believe I read the story in a Harvey book but Readers Digest and other written venues also relayed the story that can be read in its entirety upon the Web.Obbop (talk) 15:49, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
