Middle name
editThe main name Franklin Ware Mann needs to be changed to Franklin Weston Mann. I was able to change all the other entries, but I cannot figure out how to alter the Main name heading.....I have researched this, and I believe that this name is wrong. Ware was Dr Manns mothers maiden name. I have a 1942 edition of Dr Manns book, 'The Bullets flight', and on page xv of the foreword, the author of that section of the foreword, Dr. Nathaniel Emmons Paine clearly gives Dr Manns name in full. Since Dr Paine was Dr Manns cousin, this seems authoritative enough to warrant a change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nobody 2013 (talk • contribs) 01:04, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
I forgot to sign the above entry Nobody 2013 (talk) 01:05, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- I have seen both names used in references. His daughter reportedly said her father's middle name was Ware, named after his mother's family. I have found no comparable family justification for the alternative name Weston; but colonial Duxbury ship-owner Ezra Weston "King Ceasar" had an influential Massachusetts family around the time of centennial celebration of the American Revolution and someone may have accidentally or intentionally changed the name for popular association. There is presently a redirect for the alternative name, and I'm neutral about which one is used in the article.Thewellman (talk) 01:49, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
