Saw the Comets in Liège, Belgium back in May 1974
editand heard "Beecher's boogie woogie" played by Nick Nastos/Masters :-) Stephan KŒNIG 18:16, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, that was "Guitar Boogie Shuffle" by Arthur Guitar Smith. For some reason Haley called it Beecher Boogie Woogie when Franny performed it, but it's the same song. 23skidoo 19:38, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
Tyrones question

- Blast off (Destination 2165)-Decca 9-30471, 10/1957
- Giggles/Broke down baby-Decca 9-30559, 02/1958
One question: did Mr. Beecher played on The Tyrones' "My rock'n'roll baby and "Year round love"? Still my pleasure! An e-mail address? stephan.koenig007@gmail.com or stephankoenig007@yahoo.fr Won't you come back in Belgium one day or another? Stephan
- It is not know which if any Tyrones recordings Beecher performed on. I do believe, however, that he plays on "Blast Off" as there's a similar guitar line to that heard in the 1957 remake of "Rock the Joint" the Comets did. 23skidoo 15:07, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Bill Haley and the Comets1956.jpg
editImage:Bill Haley and the Comets1956.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Death
editBeecher's passing was announced via his official Facebook page last night. At the moment there is no media coverage to cite as it occurred late last night after deadlines. It has been verified directly with the family, but that of course constitutes Original Research. 68.146.70.124 (talk) 12:50, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- AP is now reporting and the number of media outlets worldwide is in the double digits, so it shouldn't be hard for a citation to be added. 68.146.70.124 (talk) 21:22, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- It's done -- he's listed as deceased. Quis separabit? 21:28, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
