Ascot or not
editAm I the only person to notice paragraph 2 and 6 disagree
- Fred is a blonde, neckerchief(often confused for an ascot)-wearing, statuesque and brave youth
However number 6 has the following statement
- Fred's outfit was given an update, with the removal of his ascot the most noticeable change.
so is it an ascot or not and ascot? Shimonnyman 07:46, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Definitely not. 69.158.167.141 (talk) 01:27, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

Fred Jones doesn't formally appear in the movie "Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back"==
editThe charactor "Fred Jones" did not actually appear in the movie "Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back". The movie briefly alluded to the cast of Scooby Doo during a scene where actors were similarily dressed to the charactors and were driving a van very similiar to the Mystery Machine. However, none of the charactors appearing to portray the Scooby Doo cast were referred to by name and during the ending credits, the actor Marc Blucas who was similiarily dressed to Fred Jones was credit as being "The Guy". The IMDB site for this movie(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0261392/)does not credit any actor as a character named "Fred". —Preceding unsigned comment added by DivaNtrainin (talk • contribs) 06:42, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Daphne fred wnsd.jpg
editImage:Daphne fred wnsd.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Fred in Italy was Fred. Never heard Alan! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.65.67.63 (talk) 18:41, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Fred and Vietnam
editDoes anyone know why Fred never had to serve in Vietnam. Or indeed if he did.
This is an important question which was never addressed in the series. Was he a conscientious objector, or did he have health issues that were never disclosed. The reasons why he was not drafted form an important part of understanding the character and I would be interested to hear the views of other experts and fans. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.247.128.78 (talk) 07:32, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Adopted?
editThis is tagged as a fictional adoptee, but the article doesn't mention this - is Fred adopted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.21.167.115 (talk) 16:58, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- Not that I know of. I'm going to remove it. Ckruschke (talk) 18:08, 22 August 2014 (UTC)Ckruschke

Unintelligible sentence
edit"Probably 47 years old by the real book might be 118." This is a sentence in this article. I have no idea what this means. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 23.242.200.33 (talk) 05:29, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
