Bourne town website
editThe link that references the website for the town of Bourne formerly linked to an included page titled for Frederic Manning, but the page no longer exists on the site. I changed the link to point to the list of prominent people, but the reference is now so inconsequential that the link should probably be removed. 173.51.29.30 (talk) 05:48, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Burial place - caution
editI see he is described as buried at Kensal Green Cemetery, a statement carried by the Australian Dictionary of Biography, but I think a check needs making of WHICH cemetery in Kensal Green. In addition to the well known All Souls Cemetery (which is I thought for Protestants), there is St Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, which has sometimes been carelessly referred to as 'Kensal Green Cemetery' without the qualifying words. That cemetery has a separate wikipedia article and it ought to be ruled out if he is buried there. It was in that cemetery and not All Souls that his namesake the Cardinal was buried before being reburied in Westminster Cathedral.Cloptonson (talk) 06:35, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- I looked on the British Newspaper Archive but, surprisingly, could not find a report of his funeral. The Australian Dictionary of Biography mentions he was buried beside "his lifelong friend and literary hostess, Mrs Alfred Fowler" (Eva Neumann) which is a lead to follow.
