Is this article about Frederick Mayer or Operation Greenup?
editAfter reading this article I cannot make my mind up about what is more notable: the man or the events that he was involved in?
There were many OSS agents in WWII, and they carried out many operations. But this article starts off as an biography, then mentions a completely unrelated person and then concludes with a narrative about a wartime event; that has contains no dates, places etc or many inline links.
It's like including details about a big event, such as WWII in a biographical article about Roosevelt, Hitler or Churchill. It's seem to be how this article has been contrived. The emphasis should be either on Greenup or Mayer. It doesn't work for both. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.171.23.89 (talk) 17:09, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for pointing that out. The subjects are strongly related, but it's best that the bio and the operation be split into two separate articles. One day it can be split into two articles, per Wikipedia:Splitting. Perhaps you will do it or perhaps another editor.--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 22:52, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

contradictions
editThe cited video, which includes spoken remembrance from Mayer, describes certain details of Greenup as different from what the article now (2021) says.Kdammers (talk) 04:53, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
