Reference style
editI noticed this “citation” while making a minor correction: <ref>The ''cause celèbre'' is detailed in Bogart 1989:258-69.</ref>. Further analysis shows a previous citation made for a book by Michelle Bogart, but overall, the editor didn’t use a proper reference style for books. I’ll render these references into shorthand style (e.g., “Bogart, p. 35”), and categorize bibliographical references separately from footnotes, while someone else could, hypothetically, rework them into a better format at some point. editthis is a Post-Move note, but MacMonnies really is the preferred spelling of Frederick's last name, as opposed to Macmonnies. Carptrash
Bronze reductions
editThere are truly innumerable bronze reductions of all of MacMonnies' popular sculptures. An auctioneer's description has now been added to the article. Is the encyclopedia article going to list them? Do we list all the bronze reductions of Frederic Remington bronzes? --Wetman (talk) 04:09, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Bacchante and Infant Faun
editThe article contradicts itself, saying that the original of this sculpture was given to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and also to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Can somebody figure out where the original actually is located (with a reference)? 20:52, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- I have researched this a bit and have updated the article, with several references. Enjoy! Reify-tech (talk) 18:36, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
