Mary Pinchot Meyer and Clay Shaw sections
editNot sure why the Mary Pinchot Meyer or Clay Shaw sections appear here. Avocats (talk) 04:24, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
- I removed the Clay Shaw section as it is a violation of WP:PRIMARY, WP:SYNTH, and WP:REDFLAG. On top of that, Mary's Mosaic is not a reliable source for information about the JFK assassination. The only relevance to the subject is that he chaired a meeting. That meeting doesn't seem to have been important enough to be discussed in reliable sources. I'll take a look at the other section some other time. -Location (talk) 17:04, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Avocats: Janney knew Pinchot Meyer's ex and they talked after her death. The material was attempting to insert a conspiracy theory, so I replaced that information with better context and sourcing. -Location (talk) 20:54, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
This entirely unsupported assertion remains in the article: "The Agency launched targeted assassinations as well as smear campaigns to sabotage Garrison’s effort to convict Clay Shaw before the case went to trial in late January 1969. Their effort ultimately proved successful; Clay Shaw was acquitted of all charges, and he denied throughout the proceedings that he ever had any association whatsoever with the CIA." - @Avocats: The conspiracy material citing unreliable and primary sources was put back. As before, I replaced that information with better context and sourcing. -Location (talk) 17:36, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
