General info
editI distinctly recall that Freebo was booted out of Bonnie Raitt's backing band because her manager Peter Asher thought he was a liability in terms of her projected AOR success. This did not please him, of course, but it is a fact of interest nonetheless. ¨¨¨¨ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.238.137.194 (talk) 12:08, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
Links to Freebo's Website
editHello,
I work for Freebo and I wanted to know if you could post a link for Freebo's website on his page, so that people who are interested in his music can have access to it. His website URL is www.freebo.com and his myspace page is www.myspace.com/freebomusic.
Thanks

Freebo's Official Website can be found at http://www.freebomusic.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.27.77.73 (talk) 00:36, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
Freebo's webpage
editFYI, freebo.com is a site that helps you buy or sell used vehicles. When I google Freebo, all I get is that and a similar site in the uk domain. The only reference to Freebo, aka Daniel Friedberg, is the Wikipedia entry. Sirpercival (talk) 13:25, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- Update: A decade later (late 2019), if you Google on "freebo", nearly all of the first couple dozen hits relate to the musician. Wikipedia, of course, remains first - true of many subjects - but freebo.com seems to have gone the way of the wooly mammoth. Allreet (talk) 05:58, 21 November 2019 (UTC)
Real name
editHis real name is reliably sourced per WP:BLP. However, it has been removed by a possible COI. If there are further complaints, please discuss at WP:BLP/N. Thank you. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 00:18, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
I work for Freebo and he has asked me to edit his entry so that his real birth name is not listed, which is what I tried to do earlier today and make have made a mistake as per the wikipedia guidelines, for which I apologize. Freebo has asked that his real birth name not be listed; all promotional articles use wikipedia as their source and as such, there are articles out there which list him by a name he does not want used. I have asked Freebo to provide a reliable source that does not use his birth name so it can be referenced via the Wikipedia entry. Except for his website, there is no such animal at this time; but if his real name can be removed from wikipedia, then there will be articles forthcoming that can then be referenced. I hope that makes sense. And Thank you. MomHen (talk) 03:21, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hey there. I understand you're trying to help, but Wikipedia articles aren't personal websites for promotion, nor are they fansites per WP:NOTADVERTISING. As a WP:BLP, all unsourced or poorly sourced material should be removed per the policy on WP:V. Also, autobiographies are strongly discouraged in the article if a subject writes about themselves here. Meanwhile, I'll go ask around and see what can be done to help settle this apparent dispute we're having, so other editors can voice their opinions. Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 04:59, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
- WP:BLP does not offer any guidance on this type of request. One's birth name is not the type of thing an article subject usually asks to be omitted. Basically, if Freebo were asking for something irrelevant to be removed from the article, like his place of residence or his child's name, that would probably be granted. But it's hard to see how his name is not relevant to an article about him, and how his personal preferences on that would take precedence over Wikipedia's mission.
