Clueless. --Wetman 23:33, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)

"Freedom did not mean chaotic sodomy, or going about and doing as you pleased without any supervision by your peers, and if anyone did so, he also was severly punished or put to death."
Have removed this; inappropriately colourful language. Not sure how to rephrase it, or even if it should be in here at all. --Spudtater 19:11, 10 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

You're just not sure; or you object to puritan idealisms?
You appear to personally object, as if someone were referring to your own life style: running around naked – as did the Adomites of the time – and having sex with whomever or what ever you pleased, as in the case of George Spencer in about 1641, New Haven Colony, CT who was hanged for beastialogy (sp?).
"Sodomy" here refers to a traditional chaotic state that has always been disapproved of by any governing power; especially atheistic Communist powers.
I'm just trying to express the fact that spontaneous gratification was not approved of, and being "free", per se, did not mean that THAT sort of thing was going to be allowed.
Please support your reasoning to delete.

Not sure if the inappropriate label applies anymore. I'm removing it. --TrustTruth 03:32, 1 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

This article has almost no citations. I could put citation needed tags all over it, but that would look ridiculous. 66.92.71.94 (talk) 17:31, 27 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
