Merge into/Move outward
editFor the most part, this page seems rather orphaned. I propose taking this article two ways: merging it into the Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 article, where its details could be put to use. Conversely, the article could also be used as a starting point for the Freightliner M2 truck; this vehicle has no separate article at this point. --SteveCof00 (talk) 06:47, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
- I agree that this page and the Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 page should me merged. A lot of information is duplicated.Cascade1988 (talk) 04:34, 24 August 2014 (UTC)Cascade1988
- I've tagged this page to better show the merger direction. Since I made the original proposal (a couple years ago, apparently), the Freightliner Business Class M2 page now exists. Also, the Thomas Saf-T-Liner page has seen some growth. Splitting this page into both of those two articles would help in terms of technical content. Although there are pages such as the Ford B-Series and the International 3300, this is mostly built as part of a complete vehicle (the Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 although it is heavily based on the Freightliner M2 106); another example would be the Blue Bird Vision, which is a conventional-type bus, but not sold as a a conventional truck at all. -SteveCof00My Suggestion box is open 07:48, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
At April 2017 this article had 2 merge tags from August 2014 proposing mergers into Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 and into Freightliner Business Class M2, although the 2nd merge tag was not repeated at the proposed target article. There has been no substantive discussion at any Talk page but the proposal to pull the article in 2 directions is confusing. For now (many months later) I have removed all the merge tags, without prejudice to any editor re-proposing a merger (or given the lack of discussion in the past) just performing a bold merger.
