  • "Four of the guns were mounted in sponsoned on the upper deck," - Maybe it's a technical term I'm not aware of, but sponsoned is a very odd word form. Is this a typo?
    • Good catch - that started out along the lines of "four of the guns were sponsoned on the upper deck" and then got rewritten but not entirely, apparently!
  • "but these were delayed after problems her propulsion system" - Should this be "after problems with her propulstion system"
    • Hmm - I had two spaces between "problems" and "her" - must have thought I typed a word when I hadn't - I must be losing my mind
  • Link torpedo boats
    • It's linked on first use in the first para of the body

2.

  • AGF on book sourcing

3.

  • Do any of the sources indicate the ship's namesake?
    • Nothing I've seen, unfortunately; obviously, it's Davout, but I haven't seen anything explicitly state as much

  • Images are all public domain, and the tagging seems to be accurate.

That's it. Very good work. Placing on hold, should be a very quick fix. Hog Farm (talk) 18:15, 11 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
