@CPA-5: - if you don't have the time right now for this one, can you let me know so I can post a request for another reviewer? No worries if you can't do this, I'd just like to get it off my plate ;) Parsecboy (talk) 20:09, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Oh no not again. Don't worry I won't give my spot to anyone else. ;)

  • apart from a brief stint in East Asia in 1902 Unlink East Asia.
    • Done
  • We don't know what kinda type of tonnage the article uses? Normal, full or deep load? And how about her commission?
    • No, Conway's doesn't indicate whether the figure is normal or full, nor do Brassey's, etc. And no, I wasn't able to track down a commissioning date.
  • Do we know exact dates of "Laid down", "Launched" and/or "Completed"?
    • Unfortunately no - the 1906 volume of Conway's has launching dates for almost all of the cruisers in this series, but a few are just the month - Brassey's has some launching dates, but not for Surcouf (and I imagine Brassey's was one of the main sources they used when they compiled Conway's)
  • The following year, she continued to operate with the squadron --> "The following year, Surcouf continued to operate with the squadron"
    • Done
  • to participate in the large-scale maneuvers of 1897 --> "to participate in the large-scale maneuvers of that year"? Year is already mentioned before.
    • Fixed
  • Suchet and the bulk of the squadron were What Suchet?
    • When I was writing this and Suchet, I kept typing the wrong name
  • in World War I, Surcouf was sent to replace Friant} Typo here?
    • Fixed
  • the Gulf of Guinea, where she remained until the end of the conflict Do we know what she did over there and what kinda reason she was sent over there? And didn't she was involved in any incidents with Germans over there?
    • No, Jordan & Caresse don't give any details. I'd assume general patrolling, as the colony was largely under Entente control by that time (and the only remaining German forces were well inland)
  • The ships successfully eluded the blockaders Remove the unnecessary space here.
    • Fixed

  • Looks good to me.

  • I think WorldCat is down on my screen. Could you have a look at whether or not the OCLC is broken in general or not? I've used multiple search engines and I also used my phone but none give me access to the sources?
    • Hmm, it's working for me, but it's been a few days, so maybe whatever it was has been resolved.
  • The rest looks good.

I think that's anything from me. Believe quarantine has made me tired and overworked on Wikipedia; I am happy I already am restarted with working and they have lifted some measures. Cheers. CPA-5 (talk) 11:18, 31 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, I'm a bit worn out right now too, but I figure a little break from the grind should help. Best of luck over there, hopefully things stay ok reopening. Parsecboy (talk) 17:12, 3 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
