Deletion?
editKnowing nothing about the subject nor having any interest in it, I would say that being "the biggest music club in Europe, with 90,000 members" makes it notable IF supported by disinterested references. I won't remove the delete tag myself; if others agree please remove the tag, and add references. 13:56, 5 January 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pol098 (talk • contribs)
@Pol098: Just came across this article now. Better late than never. There is a nice piece in a Genesis box set booklet I have somewhere that goes into a detailed history of Friars up to 1984, and the number of notable bands playing there suggests we should have an article on it. The membership makes no sense at all, it's a music venue, so I've removed that. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 00:15, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
- That's helpful. I still can't say anything useful myself. Best wishes, Pol098 (talk) 14:47, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
- I was a member - You had to have a membership card to buy a ticket but membership was 25p or so in the late 70s. So I guess some people may have forgotten membership cards when buying tickets so signed up multiple times 82.5.208.33 (talk) 17:09, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
