The English Wikipedia entry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich-Karl_Thielemann has for quite a while a flag (the need for more referenced information, and has also - opposite to the German and apparently even the Arabic version – not been updated for many years, since 2008???) The provider of the following information has a conflict of interest and has chosen to make it available this way, so that Wikipedia editors can make use of it to an extent and detail they will decide themselves according to the general standards. The aim is to provide correct/verified/referenced information: In the first paragraph, probably a few grammatical errors should be corrected (remove one of the two “he” in the first line, change “am .. ” to “at the” (Max-Planck….), change “guest scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory” to “distinguished visiting scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory” and add, if possible, “since becoming emeritus in 2017 he has also a visiting position at the GSI Helmholtz Center for Heavy Ion Research” The reference entries for all these positions can be found in the orcid entry https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7256-9330 or the entry of the Academia Europaea (The Academy of Europe) https://www.ae-info.org/ae/Member/Thielemann_Friedrich-Karl
The second paragraph is probably ok
The third paragraph can probably be split in two (a short version on services and then just a list of awards) A suggestion (but please feel free how to write things and what to enter as being important) would be Thielemann served on many advisory and evaluation committees, among them as convenor of the NuPECC Working Group on Nuclear and Particle Astrophysics for the Long Range Plan 1997 https://www.nupecc.org/?display=pub/publications , on the Board of Directors of ECT* Trento (2004-2007) https://www.ectstar.eu/ect-past-board-members/, as member of the Swiss Research Council (2004-2009) https://www.snf.ch/en/IMMUfC6XV3itway4/page/aboutus/organisation/research-council-and-evaluation-bodies, and as president of the platform Mathematics, Astronomy, Physics (MAP) of the Swiss Academy of Sciences (2013-2019) https://scnat.ch/en/uuid/i/8f4dc2cb-5527-5493-ae70-b61d536d7844-Ernst_Meyer_is_the_new_President_of_the_Platform_MAP
