editI would be interesting in when Freindshipbooklets appeared the first time and where?
- Yeah, me too! I used to swap slams and FBs in the mid-nineties, but how long before then? 213.80.107.105 (talk) 18:25, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
German Friendship Books
editBoth based upon the German article and my own experience (myself being German), I think the sentence "Typically they are more like shared journals between two best friends or a couple and are kept at one of their houses." is incorrect. Maybe that kind of friendship book exists, but the main purpose of a friendship book as described (as long as it is remotely similar to the English one) is to collect (superficial) information on *many* people - for instance, all 20-ish classmates at elementary school. Except for the occasions when it is being filled, the friendship book does remain at the owner's house, and it will typically receive only entries from people the owner asks personally to add themselves, but the insinuation that only two people write into the book, each of them possibly even several times, seems to describe a totally different concept. 92.224.27.141 (talk) 21:15, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
