Muller also was taught by someone else but I forgot his name unfortunateley. ,,I,,-_-,,I,,

It was probably a vandal or idiot - check the page history and revert. Also, please sign your posts. Richard001 09:13, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Roanoke Times columnist reports Muller's English biographer asserts the image was not a picture of Muller.

look like different from [1] phe 30 June 2005 04:08 (UTC)
Hello,
I found the answer ! My fr:Fritz Müller (1834-1895) isn't your en:Fritz Müller (1821-1897). My guy is a swissman, yours is german. The photography on commons corresponds to the swissman. Best regards.--Valérie75 30 June 2005 06:57 (UTC)
We need to disambiguate these then. Dunc| 30 June 2005 08:06 (UTC)
Since this Fritz Müller seems much more notable, I have created a page for the Swiss doctor, Fritz Müller (doctor), and done a rough translation of the French article.
Did this article ever have the wrong birthdate, as the Roanoke Times article and subsequent Signpost story allege? We have said the date of birth was 31 March 1821 since this article was created by an anon on 31 March this year [2] (after reading a list of "today's births and deaths", no doubt). -- ALoan (Talk) 4 July 2005 19:13 (UTC)
The birthdate mistake was not attributed to this article but the details of the image for the Swiss doctor -- I think. lots of issues | leave me a message 4 July 2005 20:57 (UTC)
Well, the Roanoke Times article says:
But to West, who has written a biography of Muller, [the Wikipedia article] was "fraught with errors" ... including the wrong year of birth and a picture of Muller that's not actually Muller.
You are right, the title of the image of the other Müller does refer to the date of birth (given that it is of the wrong chap, not entirely without reason - in fact, that should have been a bit of a clue!) but the text of the article is (and was) entirely accurate on that score, as far as I can tell. -- ALoan (Talk) 4 July 2005 21:35 (UTC)
Dr. West it seems made a minor edit to this article. his page -- If he didn't correct any additional errors than I don't know if there are any remaining problems. lots of issues | leave me a message 4 July 2005 22:46 (UTC)

Please add a link to <http://www.darwinproject.ac.uk/>, which is editing and publishing all of the correspondence of Charles Darwin. Fritz Müller was a significant correspondent of Darwin. Eadp 14:31, 20 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Naturalised?

edit

Naturalist he was, but naturalised? (see Infobox) Is there evidence on this point? Macdonald-ross (talk) 14:54, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

No-one has replied giving evidence, so out it goes from the box. Macdonald-ross (talk) 15:26, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
