Nitkowski's Name

edit

I understand that he uses only the initials of his first and middle name instead of his full first name in MLB and US. However, in Japan, he is registered as "Christopher Nitkowski (クリストファー・ニコースキー)" in the team's roster there, so I put his name according to the Hawks' roster. ----128.97.206.102 19:24, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sadaharu Oh's nationality

edit

The flag next to his name was changed to the Japanese flag I changed it back to the Taiwan flag because according to his wikipedia entry he does not hold Japanese citizenship: "Oh is the son of a Chinese father and a Japanese mother and was born in Sumida, Tokyo, Japan. Because of nationality laws at the time, Oh has never been a Japanese citizen, but in fact a national of the Republic of China (Taiwan), though he speaks only Japanese." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Postmortemjapan (talkcontribs) 06:53, 15 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Improving this article

edit

I had the idea to improve this article up to MLB standards, and I know I need to update/add more sources, but is there any chance we could get the infobox to more mimic the MLB infobox template, or would we have to transfer the data over to an MLB infobox template to get things more structured instead of just one giant blob of "information" as presented in the generic baseball team infobox template?
