Wrong place of death

edit

Batista died in Guadalmina a place in the city of Marbella in Spain. In the article it says 'Guadalamina' instead of 'Guadalmina' which is the correct way to write it. I'm 100% sure because I live in Guadalmina in the city of Marbella and it is well known that the correct way of writing it is 'Guadalmina' and not 'Guadalamina'.

Carlos Manuel de Céspedes

edit

FYI, the link to Carlos Manuel de Céspedes points to an article about the father of the person that this article refers to.

"Assassination squad" not backed up

edit

"two days before a team of assassins from Castro's Cuba were allegedly planning to carry out his assassination.[30]" [30] American Experience: Fulgencio Batista by PBS.

The footnote links to a PBS page that does not mention any assassination squads.

Isn't it unlikely that after 14 years of no requests for extradition from the friendly Franco dictatorship, or kidnapping Eichmann style, and living in peace the guy dies just before a death squad can reach him?

Suggest this is false and should be removed unless it can be properly sourced.

Batista was a Fascist

edit

I added fascist to the description of Batista in the introduction. 2601:589:4800:9090:D978:A6F1:5F7:FCDA (talk) 14:22, 15 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Should we revert back to the previous image? Or should we keep the current one?

Fulgencio Batista in 1938

I would prefer the older image back since it's not colorized, and the quality was fine while being cropped from its original form.
His official portrait looks worse because:
  1. It has bad lighting
  2. It has been damaged, looks like it's been picture from an already pictured portrait
  3. It has been poorly colorized, photos with no color shouldn't be colorized.
The only advantage that the current image has is that it's his official portrait, taken during his presidency. G0dzillaboy02 (talk) 08:55, 25 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
