Changes suggestion
editI work for Fuller's pub company and would like to suggest the following changes are made to Fuller's wikipedia page.
Fuller, Smith & Turner is now known as Fuller's, not Fuller's Brewery, after selling its brewing division to Asahi Europe Ltd in April 2019. [1] Fuller, Smith and Turner P.L.C. is a premium pub and hotel business. The Company runs 179 Tenanted pubs and 206 Managed Pubs and Hotels, with a focus on delicious fresh, home-cooked food, outstanding cask and craft ale, great wine and exceptional service.[2] The Company also has 827 boutique bedrooms in its Managed estate, which will increase to more than 1,000 in October 2019 after Fuller’s announced it will acquire Cotswold Inns & Hotels Ltd for £40 million [3] The Fuller’s pub estate stretches from Brighton to Birmingham and from Bristol to the Greenwich Peninsula, including 174 locations within the M25. In June 2018 Fuller’s acquired Bel & The Dragon[4], comprising six stunning country inns (included in the pub numbers above), and the Company also owns The Stable, a craft cider and gourmet pizza restaurant business, which has 16 sites in England and Wales.[5] Janelle123456789 (talk) 11:14, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you, Janelle123456789. Proposing changes here rather than editing the page directly is appreciated. Please read Wikipedia:Edit requests. You need to find independent sourcing for all of the above. Company press releases are not acceptable - see [Wikipedia:Reliable sources]] and [Wikipedia:Neutral point of view]]. Phrasing such as "a focus on delicious fresh, home-cooked food, outstanding cask and craft ale, great wine and exceptional service" is not appropriate for an encyclopaedia. Please read, reflect, and try again! Edwardx (talk) 11:45, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
- I think independent sourcing may take a little time. The newspapers this month do use "Fuller's" but only, it seems, as a shorthand for Fuller, Smith and Turner which they seem still to believe is the full name. No doubt in the next few months the company's own preference of name will work through into the papers. Chiswick Chap (talk) 19:48, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
