editNo, it is not a WP:SYNTH. One sermon claims the tribes scattered themselves into Europe & the other Eve had intercourse with Satan. WP:Reliable sources perhaps. This article needs to be updated anyways. Jioseph-So (talk) 20:08, 10 May 2023 (UTC)

Polygyny
editI see the other problems, but why is it said that this must lead to incest? Clarification needed. 2A00:23EE:14F8:E446:9574:DB54:F24D:CBE4 (talk) 18:11, 15 April 2024 (UTC)

FLDS future mass suicide?
editSo the "Reconsolidation efforts since 2022" section includes a Jeffs so-called-"revelation" "required that children be gathered back to the church over the next five years in preparation for the imminent end of the world." Hoping language can be added to article that people are considered this may involve a mass-suicide (or Jonestown-esque mass murder-suicide) (perhaps with a mention in lead section for those who don't have time to read the whole article):
- the sltrib ref that is already in article: "That document said the kids “must die” soon,"
- ABC Nightline video (2023): https://archive.org/details/KGO_20230623_073700_Nightline/start/1260/end/1320 "translated people must die"/"not unrealistic to believe his followers would follow him down the road of a mass suicide event."
- 2023 April 21: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/apr/21/fundamentalist-church-of-latter-day-saints-missing-children "“Will this be another Jim Jones and everyone will drink the Kool-Aid?” said Tonia Tewell, executive director at Holding Out Help"
- 2023 June 22: https://abcnews.go.com/US/former-flds-members-fear-childrens-disappearance-part-warren/story?id=99943910 "Experts of the FLDS church," ... "fear an event similar to Jonestown, when more than 900 people died"
- 2024 February 27: https://abcnews.go.com/US/twisted-world-warren-jeffs-former-flds-members-speak/story?id=107493397 "The revelations say that within five years, the children will be translated to heaven. But the problem is … you have to die first," --EarthFurst (talk) 12:22, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

Merge with Short Creek Community article
editThe historical revisionism is crazy considering it has been accepted that the Short Creek group incorporated as FLDS under Rulon Jeffs' at the same time like some Orwellian double-think!! Neutrality isn't picking both sides, and it certainly shouldn't be entertaining historical revisionism, like the idea that FLDS originated from a schism before it even existed! Also, this assumption that the Short Creek group and Council of Friends I'm finding contradicted by every WP:Reliable_source I can find so I have no idea where it's coming from other than the mouths of schism biased individuals. So with that in mind, shouldn't succession be on FLDS claims since legally speaking FLDS has only been threw the Jeffs' ownership?! As far as objectivity goes, the AUB and Centennial Park group broke off from FLDS and FLDS broke off from LDS. Jioseph-So (talk) 01:59, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
