Talk:Göttingen (district)

Prussia as a nation ceased to exist at the end of the Franco-Prussian War, yet this article, under History, refers to "Prussian government" as of 1885. I'm not sure if within pre-World War I Germany government or some branches of government were referred to as "Prussian," so I believe this is just an error... but I want some feedback before I go ahead and make this edit, just to verify what I suspect. Prussia continued to exist as a state of Germany until the 1930s. Local administration was the responsibility of the states, not of the federal government. --Chl 13:23, 30 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

The map is incorrect, showing only the former Landkreis Osterode am Harz in red and the former smaller Landkreis Göttingen uncoloured. Both should ne coloured red. Also districts around (but excluding) Bremen and Bremerhafen are uncoloured and should be coloured green as part of the Land of Niedersachsen. Nankai (talk) 05:07, 13 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
