Improving this article
editThere are a few issues with this article, but I think we could improve it in order to save it from deletion. The main issues I think we need to look at are:
- We need to find reliable, third party sources relating to G-Man.
- The article needs expansion, perhaps relating to its reception.
- I'm not sure the table of characters is necessary - that's getting to be fancruft.

I removed the different opening that Laxman234 wrote and included any new information into what I had previously written. My reasoning is that this article is about the graphic novel, G-MAN, rather than the character. The charter alone is not notable enough to have its own article. I also changed the edited section in the Story heading back to what I wrote as the other version wrote about the book as if it was true. ItsZippy (talk) 19:47, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
Questions
editI took away the character table and tried to make as "natural" as I could. My question is, is there anything more than to find reliable, third party sources relating to G-Man and the article needing expansion? Another question is, how much should I put in story since I own the book and could supply info? Laxman234 (talk) 00:17 29 July 2011 (UTC)
- What you've done looks very good. I think removing the table was a good idea - now it looks like an encyclopaedia entry, rather than a fansite entry - I will remove the fansite tag. Finding more sources is of paramount importance - in order to prevent the article's deletion, we need to demonstrate its notability. Therefore, if you have any sources, please provide them. In terms of the story, I think we just need an outline of the plot - we don't need a lot of detail. I've never read the books, so I'm not really sure how to approach this. As you have access to the books, perhaps you could post what you think is relevant, then we can work together on refining it. ItsZippy (talk) 16:21, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
I would also suggest that you vote on the article's deletion nomination. ItsZippy (talk) 16:40, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
This should be deleted
editThis should be deleted, as there is another G-Man article at G-Man (Image Comics). --JFP (talk) 20:29, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- On it. --Tenebrae (talk) 07:40, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
- Rather than deleting this article, maybe G-Man (Image Comics) should just be merged into it. Fortdj33 (talk) 15:41, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
- Normally that would be the case, but all the information here appears at G-Man (Image Comics) in better form. I don't think there's any information here that isn't already there, so in that sense, they're already merged. --Tenebrae (talk) 21:50, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
- That's fine, but per WP:NCC, the information should really be contained at G-Man (comics), and G-Man (Image Comics) should redirect to this article, in order to avoid unnecessary disambiguation. Fortdj33 (talk) 01:45, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
