Apart from a spelling fix (dependant -> dependent) and the removal of paragraph breaks, the sections about the History of the company and Composers published by the company appear to be word-for-word copies from History of G. Schirmer—which clearly displays the note "Copyright © 2006 G. Schirmer, Inc. and Associated Music Publishers, Inc." Since this could be a copyright violation, and one which I don't have time to fix right now, I'm bringing it to the attention of those with an interest in the article. A tag was recently added because of concerns about point of view and advertising style, so some expeditious rewriting should help to address all of these issues. —Error -128 (talk) 18:50, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

No response, so I'm reverting the edits concerned. Please feel free to reintroduce any material, suitably rewritten to address the above issues. Thanks. Error -128 (talk) 01:56, 4 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: Moved with rough consensus. The oppose rationale was countered, and the request was supported after relisting. (note the existence of Nike, Inc., just FYI) (non-admin closure) — Andy W. (talk ·ctb) 23:26, 25 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Harriet P. Sawyer (source: Stewart-Green, Miriam (1980). Women composers: A checklist of works for the solo voice. A reference publication in women's studies. Boston, Mass: Hall. p. 64. ISBN 978-0-8161-8498-9.)

This article is not a list of the composers published under the company. The current individuals named are a small representative group of prominent names (which I've just trimmed further). Prominent female composers such as Frank, Tower and Du Yun already appear here. Aza24 (talk) 16:49, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
