Why
editwhy is this under your personal page and not in the main wiki? 211.28.209.102 (22 May 2010)
- Unfortunately I believe this to be a single purpose account and involves a conflict of interest by the person who created the article. See here Geditcom on twitter the messages say its from Kevin Gartner (Location Corvallis, Oregon, USA) and on linkedin, [1] and [2], [3]. That aside, I use Geditcom myself and think it a great program by the way, not sure how to add it to the main wiki? 114.76.95.250 (talk) 23:48, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Removing maintenance templates.
editThis article is no longer written like an advertisement, and the discussion above under "Why" indicates that this was addressed in 2010. I propose removing that maintenance template.
The second maintenance template speaks to a more serious issue with the article: Notability. The article cites the software's own website and release notes extensively. There are two external sources: a forum with 43 posts and a cursory review of the software. It seems unlikely that this article meets wikipedia's notability standard.
