TV ratings?
editI'm just curious, does anyone know anything about ratings and viewer numbers for the Dove Awards? Whether recent or historic? If so, can you post them? I'm very curious. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.22.194.237 (talk) 20:33, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with File:Dove1.jpg
editThe image File:Dove1.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

- since the image was uploaded more than four years ago and no copyright information was uploaded with the image there is no way to offer fair use rationale. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:46, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- The uploader's still active. I pinged him. Jclemens (talk) 06:57, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- I created that image myself by taking the photo of an actual Dove award and then putting it in photo shop. The problem was that there were different rules back then and the info now being requested was not requested then. The rules of uploaded images changed in the early part of 2008. One would have to go back and change the file, but I am wondering if it would not be "Grand Parented" in since it was before the rule changes? Let me know how I can help..Canyouhearmenow 13:09, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- Given the fervency of the copyright issue, I suspect the answer is "no"--after all, if it had been a real copyvio, four years' presence would not make it grandfathered from the law. It might just be simpler to grab a current copyrighted logo, and write an up-to-date FUR noting the source. Jclemens (talk) 15:30, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- You just have to go to the image and state that you are the owner of the image, or upload the image you own, and that you are opening it to the public, that you hold no copyright to the document. All that means is that if the image is ever used in a publication you can't request that someone pay you for its use. At that point, no fair use rationale has to be offered. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:34, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

- Ok I will take care of this as soon as possible. I am sorry they changed the rules like they did. I am sure there are a great number of photos now on here that are lacking proper rationale. Thanks for making me aware! Canyouhearmenow 23:29, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. Actually, there aren't. They usually just delete the images from the article and then say that it's not their problem. It's nice that someone in the copyright group has returned to communicating. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:36, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
