Clinical significance
editThere was a section on the significance of this protein and gene in this article, but the source (De Mori et al.) is WP:PRIMARY and I feel further research is needed to justify any claims of the particular disorders or symptoms that may be associated. Reconrabbit 15:35, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks for reviewing the article. I found a link at the NCBI's ClinVar about the SNP: [1] - that's a secondary source and it's listed as "pathogenic" there - they have a strict review process before actually labelling something that. Is it okay to add back in with the secondary source? MolecularPilot 21:53, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
- Certainly, I'm more comfortable with that knowing the research has been interpreted beyond the initial peer review. The database appears somewhat easier to interpret by a typical reader, and the original citation is accessible from there as well. Reconrabbit 23:41, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
