Home charm

edit

I have added Home Charm to the page with a ref, but I can't find when it was purchased by GUS. I know that it was created by Manny, Sydney and Gerald Fogel, but I am not sure when they sold it. One source says Texas Homecare was created by Home Charm (which was 1972) and I found a who owns who from 1971 and it was not GUS. All I can find is that GUS sold it to Harris Queensway for 25% of their shares along with Times Fugnishings.Davidstewartharvey (talk) 20:58, 9 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have found out further that Home Charm, owners of Texas Homecare, were seperate to Home Charm stores under GUS [1] Davidstewartharvey (talk) 14:26, 13 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi - I think some figures on the annual revenue and profit of the group as a whole just before it was broken up would be helpful. Great job on your work so far! Dormskirk (talk) 13:10, 14 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

OK will do. I will add what I can find. [3][4][5][6] [7] [8] Davidstewartharvey (talk) 06:18, 17 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

I have updated the infobox with the figures for the year ended 31 March 2006 which was the last full year of operations with the "old" structure. Best wishes. Dormskirk (talk) 18:52, 20 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I have just started looking for more info again. I will at some point put the info collected into the article. Davidstewartharvey (talk) 18:54, 20 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Weir & Sons

edit

From a web clippit from https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/weirs-jewellers-boss-david-andrews-is-its-jewel-in-the-crown-6d87tcj8l you can see that the Dublin high end jeweller sold its UK Business to GUS but not sure when, and what happened to it as the story is behind a pay firewall, and there is no other mention that I can find elsewhere.Davidstewartharvey (talk) 12:38, 22 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
