Requested Move
edit- Strongly Opposed. Reason: well - There is a significant problem with moving Gabriel Richard High School to "Father Gabriel Richard High School". There is already another school, in Ann Arbor, MI., which uses that name. See Gabriel Richard Catholic High School (Riverview) -vs- Father Gabriel Richard Catholic High School (Ann Arbor). They are separated by about 25 miles as the crow flies, or 34 miles using the freeways, and they are in the same Catholic High School League Conference. Father Gabriel Richard is located in Washtenaw County, Michigan, in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lansing, while Gabriel Richard, in Wayne County, Michigan is in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit. Moving the information about the Riverview school to an article with the name of the Ann Arbor school, would undoubtedly lead to significant confusion, if not fisticuffs among the opposing students from the respective schools. Recommendation: Do NOT Move. If an article needs to be created for the Ann Arbor school, then it should be called Father Gabriel Richard High School (Ann Arbor, Michigan), and then perhaps rename the Riverview School article to Gabriel Richard High School (Riverview), to avoid the confusion. --T-dot ( Talk/contribs ) 17:21, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Definitely oppose for the reasons cited above and the fact that the school does not use the "Father" in the name. We could disambiguate them as suggested if an article is written for the Ann Arbor one or we could just add an {{otheruses}} type template (there's quite a few) to the top of both. Update: new articles created for Father Gabriel Richard High School (Ann Arbor, Michigan), and a redirect page at Father Gabriel Richard High School to the other. --T-dot ( Talk/contribs ) 16:23, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
