Absolution Gap/Galactic North connection

From the article: "It is implied in the novel Absolution Gap that whilst she does succeed in escaping the Milky Way (to the satellite galaxies orbiting it), the Greenflies eventually catch up with humanity after several million years and chase them throughout the universe, eventually consuming it too. The humans attempt to (it is implied) go back to the time in which Absolution Gap is set to destroy the Greenfly, but fail. Their eventual fate is currently unknown." I really don't think this can be inferred from the text. At best, it's one of several possible explanations for why it was written that way, and I can think of several problems with it. Image:Al reynolds galactic north.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Glaciar and Ice worms

I found the ice worms in the short story Glaciar to be fascinating, and I added them to the in culture section of the Ice worm article, only to realize too late that it might be better if the Ice worm article simply linked here and more details were given on the worms in this article. If you do so, please make sure to include a reference to Langton's Ant (see the Ice worm article for my explanation), as I think it is what influenced Alastair Reynolds when he wrote the story (if not, then it's a cool coincidence). I really don't feel like doing this right now, but I think there should be some mention of ice worms and a link to the Ice worm article from the summary for Glaciar. -- plushpuffin (talk) 04:10, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
