Article creation
editI created this article today. Please add to and improve it, especially by including a photo of the great Gallo Blue Chip! Daniellagreen (talk) (cont) 02:32, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
Article review
editThis is to note that User:Pink Bull reviewed this article, and User:Carriearchdale unreviewed it, without giving any explanation for it here on this talk page. Daniellagreen (talk) (cont) 21:00, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
- It should be reviewed as OK, it needs a lot of work, but it's an acceptable start. That said, User:Carriearchdale doesn't have to explain herself. Montanabw(talk) 22:19, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
Review
editMoved from my talk page, better here: Wondered if you might review Gallo Blue Chip as another editor unreviewed it, Daniellagreen (talk) (cont) 17:32, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for your edits to Sir Taurus and Gallo Blue Chip. I like to add quote boxes because it highlights what people have stated and makes it stand out in the article; that's just my personal preference. Daniellagreen (talk) (cont) 21:55, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, but the technique is better suited for longer articles. Here, the first one you added looked odd and was formatted odd - you don't put the signal in the box, just the quote, and in an article this short, it looked out of place. I kept the other.. ;-) Montanabw(talk) 23:15, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- Here is a FA-class article that uses indented quotations properly: Ezra Meeker Here is one that uses quote boxes, but off to the side instead of inline (your inline ones are OK, just showing you ways they can be done more elegantly) Thaddeus Stevens. In fact, the lead editor on these articles has over 100 FAs (100!) and so his examples are good ones to look at. If you want to see a simple race horse article that uses them, I did Paynter (horse) and amused myself by doing the quote boxes in the racing colors of the stable, just for fun. - Great, looks cool! Daniellagreen (talk) (cont) 01:17, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

- Your editing skills are improving, just wanted to mention that. Keep plugging away at it, you'll get there. Montanabw(talk) 20:30, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
