Despite the notice in the window, staff at the Smethwick Heritage Centre (in Smethwick High Street) tell me this is now permanently closed and the building (which is NOT the pumping station illustrated) is due to be demolished to make way for housing. Most of the exhibits have been moved to the SHC, and I hope to replace this stub with an article about the SHC in due course.--Shantavira|feed me16:55, 21 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
