I love reviewing old films and foreign films, so this is cool. -- Zanimum (talk) 00:10, 9 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Passing infobox.

Lead

  • I feel that the plot sentence needs expanding. Perhaps "Starring Durval Bellini and Déa Selva, it follows the troubled life of a man after he kills his wife, shortly after marriage." What happens after the initial murder seems to be the focus of the plot.

Passing Plot, Cast.

Production

That's fascinating, the concept of a handheld camera in this era.
  • "its popularity in the Brazilian market during the time its production lasted" --> wouldn't "its popularity in the Brazilian market during production" say the same thing?

Reception and analysis

  • "the worst film of all time" ... I'm working offline, but I'm 99% sure that we have an article by that title. Perhaps link to this, and add Ganga Bruta to the list? I doubt we have many films so early with such a title, and certainly few that redeemed themselves over time.
  • "Restrospective"... is that actually the spelling?

Has this film been released onto any home media format? Or is it only ever shown at festivals? (ie, how would a French critic watch it?)

Passing References, External links, Categories, image (is there no public domain age in Brazil?). -- Zanimum (talk) 18:13, 10 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hey, @Zanimum:, thank you(!) and sorry for the time that it took for me adressing the issues. I hadn't seen you did the review as I was a little busy with "real life"-stuff (and because of inattention too). I guess I've done the corrections (not sure about the quality of the prose about the plot in the lead). Responding to you questions:
  • Yes, we have such list; I've linked to it, and I'll try to see if it's adequate to include it there (as it was late much praised and I'm not sure about the multiple sources-stuff).
  • Good question (how could I I not have thought about it). Amazon says so, but don't specify by what company, where and when. A Brazilian retailer even sells a DVD or VHS of the film from France. Sadly, I couldn't find de facto info about the home media release. No source reports its screen on festivals, too. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 05:29, 13 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
