"Grounded in a love for the land, Garden & Gun has evolved into a dynamic lifestyle magazine with a unique mission - to capture the 'Soul of the South.' With a lively mix of sporting culture, food, music, art, and travel, it has broken out of the confines of the regional magazine to create a Southern title with national appeal. The magazine features rich paper, sharp writing, stunning photography, and crisp design. It all adds up to a publication that excites the intellect, the emotions, and the palate, and above all it evokes a sense of pride in Southern culture. From Tom Brokaw's moving essay about his bird dogs to Allison Glock's musings on a new generation of Southern women to Roy Blount Jr.'s hilarious diatribe against the culinary foam craze, the magazine's content is a combination that appeals equally to men and women.

The title of the magazine: "I am often asked about the title of the magazine - particularly from folks who have not read the magazine yet. The simplest explanation that I can offer is that it is a metaphor for the South - its land, the people, their lifestyle, and their heritage." Rebecca Wesson Darwin, Founder and CEO of Garden & Gun.
