Chip in 405?
editWhat's the model of the GPS chip in the new Forerunner 405? Anyone know?--169.233.102.41 (talk) 17:17, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
The 305 and 405 both use a SiRFstarIII according to http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=1649742 Could you work that into the article perhaps? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.29.83.91 (talk) 02:37, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
Additional functionality
editNo mention of Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) strap. No mention of foot pod unit (for cadence, or distance when GPS unreliable). No mention of connection to bike speed/cadence unit. No mention that it's waterproof.
Coordinates
editThe sentense "The watch uses the hh.mm.mmmm (hours, minutes, and minute decimals) coordinate format." should be changed to The watch uses the hh.mm.mmmm (DEGREES, minutes, and minute decimals) coordinate format. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.4.16.229 (talk) 10:20, 8 October 2016 (UTC)

965 vs 265 & 265S
editAccording to wikipedia table, the only advantage of 965 vs 265 is topographic maps.
I'm thinking about buying 265S, which is smallest and lightest of these 3 models. But it has no maps at all?
According to users especially in Finland / Europe, the Garmin topo maps are useless (they used to be better?), as more detailed topo maps can't be installed:
