Birthyear
Was Gary born in 1940 or 1943? IMDB now has 1940. Hotwine8 03:04, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Sesame Street/Big Bird's teddy bear
I remember reading somewhere that Burghoff gave Big Bird his teddy bear when he appeared on Seasme Street, and thats why it's named "Radar", but I can't seem to find the story now. Anyone else know of this? --Smart Mark Greene 04:54, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- How? The bear is buried in a time capsule in South Korea. I'm just kidding. GoodDay 21:49, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
not to sound like an obsessive, but having just seen the MASH episode with Radar's drum solo, some of the audio is in fact clearly dubbed, whether or not Burghoff himself did the dubbing. He is clearly seen playing with sticks during a part that's played with brushes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.53.136.74 (talk) 04:55, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:BurghoffMatchGame1975.png
Image:BurghoffMatchGame1975.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

What about the "Gulf Guy"?
Gary Burghoff made a number of commercials for Gulf gasoline after he left "MASH". Remember those? He dressed in a white lab coat and was called "The Gulf Guy". After Gulf sold out to BP, they continued the commercials for a while with Burghoff as "The BP Guy", but that name just didn't have the same ring to it.97.73.64.151 (talk) 02:37, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
