Birth
editI've had some trouble finding Hoey's exact birthdate for the info box. Most sources I've read indicate he was born in Boston although I did read one that indicated was born near Boston. --Before 05:01, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- In this interview Hoey states he grew up in Lowell, Massachusetts. Another one gives the same place of origin. AllMusic concurs, so that's three reliable sources. - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 15:54, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
Auditioning for Osbourne
editThe article read that Gary auditioned for Ozzy in 1982 to replace Randy Rhoads. That's wrong; Gary says he auditioned in 1988 (when Ozzy was looking for replacements for Jake E. Lee) and that the job went to Zakk Wylde. Fixed it up. Phil Carter 23:24, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
