Ecumenical Franciscan Brother
editWhere is evidence that ? He's been married three times, and there's no further internal mention of this claim (beyond the lede)?? That Gary Paul Nabhan is an Ecumenical Franciscan Brother is re-asserted in several websites in roughly the same form as it appears here, but in one site, he makes a claim that he 'takes a page from' the contemplatives and mystics, in light of the Catholic Franciscan heritage which does not require subscribing to a set of doctrinal beliefs.[1] In another site, we read:
Nabhan is humbled and honored to serve as a professed Ecumenical Franciscan brother, helping the Franciscan Action Network in shaping ethical responses to environmental injustice, to immigration issues and to climate change.[2]
