Passing gas
editl have real doubts the '55 shown is a gasser. It's not jacked up nearly as much as I recall the typical gassers were... It might qual as a Modified. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 22:53, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Auction websites
editAuction websites - EBay in particular describe many cars for sale as a "Gasser Project". I dont get the sense that the sellers mean "gasser" in the sense from this page, but more of a synonym for hotrod. I want to add this information, any suggestions? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.173.6.50 (talk) 14:36, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
- I'm afraid you'd fall foul of the commercial links issue. Might do better to contact the sellers & ask if they'd contribute here. (There's this & this that could use help from informed people, & model builders tend to be...). If they're reproducing a particular gasser (Ohio George's car, say), you might Google it & see if you can find a reliable online source, or a paper ref. Outta gasser
editIt's not clear to me, so I'm hoping somebody who knows more (or has better sources) can clarify. My understanding is, T/G is the pro class, & Gas is the amateur class. True? TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura
Table
editNot sure if you want the table you requested. Was there something wrong with it? Stepho talk 11:56, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
- As you'll see now, no: just the formatting problem... TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 18:42, 28 April 2017 (UTC)

I've no objection to these re-appearing in any sort of list article, but they're swamping this article as it stands. The article needs to explain what a gasser is – that's not working with these in place. Andy Dingley (talk) 23:41, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
I think the introduction on this page is weak. I found the page, What Is a Gasser? A Lean, Mean Ladies Machine and The Gasser War Years: Drag Race Fuel Battles to be much more informative for basic orientation before getting into detail.
