GA Review

edit

I do not feel that this this article meets GA standards at this time due to a lack of comprehensiveness. There is little about his personal life and while I understand that such things can be hard to find, there are still some important things such as his date of birth and place of birth that are missing. If you feel this review is inaccurate or unfair, feel free to resubmit it. -- Scorpion0422 20:38, 26 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Photo Error

edit

I have spoken with Mr. Derricotte. He states this is a photo of Bob Mann. A friend and former teamate of his. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rogich24 (talkcontribs) 01:36, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

If this is an error, I would like to fix it. The 1948 Michiganensian has this photograph displayed prominently and identifies it as Derricotte, not Bob Mann (American football). Given that we have a reliable (though admittedly not infallible) published source identifying the picture as Derricotte, can you provide something further in the way of substantiation about your conversation with Mr. Derricotte? Does he have another photograph that he would be willing to release under a free license so that it could be used in the article? If convenient, you can let me know here or at my talk page. • Based on a comparison of the posted picture and the picture of Derricotte from the 1946 team portrait here (Derricotte is #41 in the back row), the posted picture doesn't look like a match. Based on a comparison of the posted image and the picture of Bob Mann (American football) (# 81) in the same team portrait, your point appears to be accurate. I will go ahead and pull the posted picture and upload a different one for Derricotte. Cbl62 (talk) 06:38, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • I have now switched photos. Thanks for the information. If Mr. Derricotte has any other photos (perhaps from his football career, his Tuskegee days, or something more recent) that he would be willing to allow us to use in the article, let me know. I would be happy to help explain the process for uploading. Cbl62 (talk) 07:02, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
