editLast change to the article is very badly put. Could somebody please refrase it? Death2 13:48, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
He "plays guitar, though not on any albums", followed by a list of albums on which he has played guitar seems very silly to me. I admit that his not having been a main guitarist for the projects he played some guitar for should be highlighted, but the phrasing is problematic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.147.40.60 (talk) 23:48, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

editThere are four band templates at the bottom of the page... wouldn't showing the Death one be more appropriate than the Slayer one? Theonecynic 07:17, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
The last reference, regarding his death, is linked to an explicit shock site instead of a legitimate source. Is Gene really even dead?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.71.208.91 (talk) 14:38, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Considering that it has absolutely no mention of it on his official site or his myspace, I'm gonna say no. Thank god. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.230.248.163 (talk) 01:58, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- No he has not died, I'm guessing it was just sneaky vandalism which has been removed now. AngelOfSadness talk 15:05, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm incredibly sorry
editI was misinformed by an inaccurate source that Gene Hoglan had died. I apologize. 71.10.88.69 (talk) 21:38, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
associated acts
editthere are a lot of bands here, and it seems redundant to basically just restate the discography, especially because he was just a session artist for many of them. I propose taking down the ones that he is not well known for (keeping Death, Testament, Strapping Young Lad, Devin Townsend, Dark Angel and maybe Dethklok) —Preceding unsigned comment added by H2ostra (talk • contribs) 22:28, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

editThis article specifies 2 separate birthdates, which is correct? I am not a big enough fan to know this, but it appears that he is actually 42 as of writting (according to the almighty google), so it would appear that the date in the article body is correct. Can someone please confirm? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.148.143.152 (talk) 11:34, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
