Judging from the chat sites on the net, F-16 VISTA and F-35 STOVL are not really comparable. In fact, 360 degree thrust vectoring would be impossible on the F-35. So any risk reduction provided by VISTA yould have been operational rather than in terms of engineering design. It's been suggested tyat 360 degree thrust vectoring might return for 6th generation aircraft, if we ever get that far with manned jet fighters. 20.133.0.13 (talk) 12:07, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Supermaneuverable

edit

The Supermaneuverability article has this plane as being supermaneuverable. Should this attribute be getting a mention in this article? Boscaswell talk 08:38, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

This page is significantly out of date and contains multiple factual errors.

edit

I am the Director of Research at the USAF TPS and the Program Lead for the X-62 VISTA, and have found quite a few errors on this page, from the basic description of the aircraft, to its current use, who is involved with the current program, and also its performance characteristics (the VISTA does not have the same performance characteristics of a standard F-16). I would like to rewrite this page to make it more factually correct. Is there anyone that I should collaborate with to ensure edits I make are properly made? We are still documenting the aircraft changes, and not all changes are correctly listed by media outlets. Ccotting (talk) 21:04, 1 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
