editIn August 2018 there were issues flagged up relating to unsourced content. I've sourced and updated much of this, but some of this is quite technical, so I have removed it for now and placed it here: "Originally written in the BASIC programming language, GPASS was redeveloped for the Unix operating system and then moved in the mid-1990s as NewGPASS onto the Windows platform.
