Identity and Passport Service
editHM Passport Office replaced the Identity and Passport Service in May 2013. I'm not sure if the GRO is still part of HM Passport Office or if it's been moved elsewhere. The GRO website hasn't been updated.

History and civil registration process
editI have done a major re-edit of the article to explain the history of the General Register Office for England and Wales, and a section on the registration process, and the certificates they issue. Grateful for any views/comments on this edit, or if anyone can make it better. (Bd2007 (talk) 14:12, 18 August 2013 (UTC))
