Suggestions

edit

Hello Gahuja! — Preceding unsigned comment added by NDave28 (talkcontribs) 03:16, 21 April 2012 (UTC) I am aware that you are still working on your article, but I do have a few suggestions. I suggest you add more information to the “background” heading. The background only talks about the tomato and where it was originated, but I suggest you talk about the history of (Answer questions such as: how, why, when, and where) “Genetically modified tomato” (GMT). Another suggestion I have for you is, maybe you can add another headline or write under the “Basic Research” to write about the process of the fruit ripening, which enables scientists to have a better understanding of the genetic process used to modify tomato ripening. Talk a little bit about the Biological aspect of the fruit. A book that might help you in this section may be “Genetically Modified Organisms the Mystery Unraveled.” Under the heading “subjects” it talks about the case study of the “flavr Savr,” you can make a separate section for that and talk about more of the case study in detail and if possible, try finding more case studies under this topic. In addition, you might want to add a section for the marketing of GMT. Overall, this article has good information and is organized, but it could use a little bit more detailed information in each section. You may want to consider adding graphs of what country have considered GMT..etc. I hope I have given some ideas to think about! Best of luck! :) NDave28 (talk)Reply

Merged from Fish tomato

edit

I recently merged the fish tomato article to here under the environmental stress section. The relevant talk page information is at Talk:Fish tomato. There might still need to be some content changes (is the name fish tomato really notable and worth mentioning?), but it looks like this should be a pretty straightforward merge since the fish tomato article was largely redundant with the information provided here, and the original thinking for keeping these two pages separate (about 4 years ago) was that the fish tomato page might have too much information that would overburden this article if the two were combined. That doesn't appear to be the case after 4 years time, but I'm sure folks can find additional tweaks to help things out after the merge. Kingofaces43 (talk) 20:08, 15 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
