Deletion of content

The addition of historical impact factor content was almost immediately deleted as not being appropriate content by the guidelines of the Academic Journals WikiProject. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 12:15, 25 November 2011 (UTC)

• This has been discussed at the project at least once before. IF history is something that I never have heard any researcher bother about. People are (sometimes very much so) interested in the current IF, but not its history. It is different for publishers. They like to boast that "the IF of this journal has consistently been above 15" or "the IF of this journal has doubled in recent years", but aside from these promotional uses, basically nobody cares... --Crusio (talk) 12:58, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
