editUnless someone can explain why this page should be considered orphaned, I’m pretty sure it shouldn’t be.
Notability
editPermaculture is a young academic discipline, and its followers tend to prefer the internet over more traditional methods of academic discourse. Lawton is highly active on the ground in the areas of permaculture training and design, and has produced a lot of material on the WWW. Amongst permaculture practitioners, his notability is beyond question. 117.18.231.13 (talk) 17:30, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- Publishing on the internet is fine, but in order to demonstrate WP:notability we must show that he has been the subject on significant coverage in reliable sources independent of the subject. Internet forums are not reliable sources, nor are his own publications. Can you provide examples of reliable sources writing about Mr. Lawton? Pburka (talk) 23:02, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- I think he easily passes WP:GNG:

- Also, for a farmer, he easily passes WP:SWASHBUCKLER.
Academic?
Permaculture nor Geoff Lawton can not be considered academic or scientific. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.187.192.42 (talk) 08:06, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
Help South of Spain!
editSouth of Spain is the "vegetable garden" for EU but is overused and forests are missing. Creeks are dry, rivers are small, drinking water is going, ground water is sinking more and more and becomes salty from the sea or is contaminated by pesticide use.
At the same time in Central and Northern Europe pit greenhouse Walipini is missing so a lot of vegetables could be produced there also during winter times so South of Spain would not be overused with vegetable production any more.
All this would be a working field for Mr. Lawton - good luck and long life for him!
