Talk:Geoffrey Irwin

Some refs

edit

I'm going to dump references and stuff that came up here, since it's too late for me to think of writing anything coherent. I may be too busy to get to anything in the week, but I do hope to be able to get back to this, as Irwin appears to be a very interesting scholar. Summary: Professor Irwin appears to be a major figure in the study of prehistoric Pacific Islanders and their migration patterns. It's a small field, but the reviews for the books describe him as groundbreaking, new, invaluable, etc. His Gscholar cites are decently impressive for a small discipline, and one of the news refs describes him as "the Pacific's foremost authority of traditional voyaging." (the third one down, I believe).
