May I ask, why is this man shown with a category of 1933 births when he is in fact born earlier? He was 17 when he joined the RAF, which was in 1939. That means he have to have been born in 22 or 23. Anyone disagree? 79.138.214.2 (talk) 20:53, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

actually, in 21 as was shown in the article. 79.138.214.2 (talk) 20:54, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Date of Birth

edit

Article has both the 4th and the 14th August as his date of birth! MilborneOne (talk) 19:20, 27 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

And in February 2011 I feel the time has come to fix this, so I have done so, using this reference from the RAF itself. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 19:20, 18 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
NB his date of birth was apparently 04 August. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 19:21, 18 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
Is Wellum still alive? I thought I'd heard he died in a freak accident trying to make tea in the bath? Also, should we excerpt of any of his book w/in this article in the appropriate sections, such as when he talks about doing math? Azx2 02:09, 15 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Medal Fest

edit

I have removed the garing medal fest that awas added, only suitable for garish American articles this sort of presentaion is not normally used on British articles. Most of the awards listed are not really noteworthy and are just padding for the medal fest. MilborneOne (talk) 16:01, 23 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
