sort it out

edit

Paragraphs 5 and 6 of the section International Boundaries are virtually incoherent. Someone who knows the facts and the syntax of English needs to do some re-writing there. Ed8r (talk) 17:43, 2 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Climate change

edit

Here there currently appears the sentence: In Karakoram and Himalaya mountains in northern Pakistan, the upper reaches of the Indus Valley (which supplies the world's largest irrigation network), a group of researchers collected samples of Juniper tree rings that dated back as far as 828. Though perhaps true it tells us nothing about climate change initself. Anyone care to expand - or delete?

Also, at the foot of 'National Conservation Goals' is this: In a recent study conducted by Global CLEAN campaign, it was found that the average temperature in Pakistan had risen by .2 degrees in only 2 years, This is a dramatic change and puts emphasis on Climate Change Campaigns. Seems a bit dodgy to me - the vagaries of weather mean that much more major changes can take place over this sort of period without any reference to climate change, anthropogenic or otherwise, needing to be invoked. Again, anyone care to expand or preferably delete? Geopersona (talk) 07:19, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Population

edit

There is no mention of the population of the country. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 39.47.151.66 (talk) 09:17, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Separate section for Northern Pakistan

edit

Many Pakistanis and tourists know about a geographical region known as 'Northern Pakistan'. This includes Northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Dir, Chitral, Kohistan, Kolai Palas, Waziristan, Mansehra, Swat, Batagram), Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree and parts of the northern areas of Islamabad Capital Territory, and the disputed Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. It includes 3 mountain ranges - Himalaya, Karakoram, and Hindukush as well as Hindu Raj and Pamir. I propose that a separate article be created titled "Northern Pakistan". I just wanted to add this if there are any concerns of the creation of the article. Muhafiz-e-Pakistan (talk) 15:20, 29 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
